Castle Ward, County Down, Northern Ireland

This photo was taken at Castle Ward, one of the primary filming locations for Winterfell in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Pictured with me are Odin and Thor, the canine actors who portrayed Summer and Grey Wind, the dire wolves of Bran Stark and Robb Stark. Castle Ward’s historic grounds served as the backdrop for several memorable scenes in the series’ first season.
